Tuesday Wrap Up: 10 Things You Missed So Far at ICE ‘17

By Luke Reimer - September 19, 2017

It’s been a busy day at ICE ’17 here in Nashville, Tennessee. Take a look at the highlights below to see what you missed, and stay tuned for more coverage of the conference here on the Igloo blog.

Igloo CEO and Founder Dan Latendre shared the vision for the future of digital workplace technology

The traditional intranet as we know it is dead.  The idea of a generic, static place that is all things to all people is a broken model.  That’s why this year we introduced a complete portfolio of new digital workplace solutions along with all of the services companies need to successfully plan, implement, launch and drive engagement in their digital workplace.  This approach significantly reduces time to launch and time to value.

But it’s not enough.  Igloo continues to evolve to stay ahead of customer and market needs. This conference is just part of the ongoing digital transformation journey Igloo is on with its customers. As part of delivering on this promise, Dan announced the upcoming comprehensive Digital Workplace Playbook.

Major product enhancements were announced: Microsoft Azure hosting, federated search, and flexible analytics

A new partnership with Microsoft paves the way for a bright future – one that includes U.S. data residency with Microsoft Azure hosting. In addition, Igloo search will soon federate across external repositories, including SharePoint, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Box, Salesforce, and more – all with a beautiful and intuitive user experience. Lastly, Igloo Data Feeds will make Igloo platform analytics available for custom reporting using your favorite business intelligence tool: Qlik, Power BI, and others.

Jacob Morgan showed us the future of work and dove into the importance of the employee experience

Successful business leaders have realized that investing in the employee experience drives results. We heard Jacob speak on how you can deepen your focus in this area to drive tangible outcomes, explored research data that shows clear ROI, and gained specific insight into how companies of all types can get started on the journey to a better employee experience.

A panel of industry experts talked all things digital transformation

Forrester, CNN, Partners HealthCare, Spring, and JF Hillebrand tackled all things digital transformation in this expert panel, including change management, unintended benefits, future trends, measures of success, and more.

We announced the new Igloo Developer Program centered on the new SDK, with over 100+ KB articles and a full support team.

The new Developer Program includes support for themes, integrations, applications, and automation – as well as over 100 knowledge base articles and a developer support team here at Igloo. Learn more and get started at

Guest musician Aubrey Grant kept us entertained in the SKYE lounge

The ICE delegation got the chance to socialize, build new connections and share experiences at the opening reception. Great food, drink and music helped turned this into a night to remember.

Igloo partners worked together to bring more value and deeper integration

The Igloo partner ecosystem has never been stronger. Attendees met our newest technology partner, TemboSocial, in the Solution Showcase and learned more about their Forms, Surveys and Quiz solution integration with Igloo. And Bonusly chose ICE to announce an enhanced integration  – with the new Bonusly widget, Igloo users will be able to view their bonus feed and even give recognition directly in Igloo. Our global footprint continues to expand via a network of strategic channel partners. Many of whom travelled from afar to Nashville to learn from our customers and share digital workplace insights from around the world.

Conference sponsors showcased innovation

Each sponsor of ICE brings a unique perspective to enhancing the digital workplace. From tools to measure culture, to engaging employees, gamification, personal productivity, and more, the Igloo sponsor showcase gave ICE attendees a view into the possible.

Customers shared examples of digital workplace transformation (lounge)

Our CEO likes to say that he’s not here to share with you – he’s here to encourage you to share with each other. That was exactly the case at the Igloo Lounge here at ICE, where community managers and business leaders illustrated how they have tackled digital transformation and the incredible results they’ve achieved.

Breakout sessions focused on Digital Workplace Strategies, how to use solutions to spark innovation, a crash course for community management, and more

Tonight we’ll experience all that Music City has to offer as part of a guided, 5-stop pub crawl event. Tomorrow is another day – we’ll continue to help you stay in the loop on all of the announcements, collaboration, and growth that’s happening here in Nashville.
