IGLOO Recognized for its Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision
October 26, 2010 (Kitchener, ON) - - IGLOO Software (www.igloosoftware.com), a leading provider of online community and social software solutions for business, today announced that it was positioned in the 2010 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Social Software in the Workplace.*
The Magic Quadrant for Social Software in the Workplace consists of products that are used within an organization to support team collaboration, community building and networking. Products that compete in this market help employees build connections, mine their network for advice, learn from others expertise, form teams or informal groups and discuss and collaborate around work. According to Gartner, "to focus more sharply on products that are achieving traction, we have raised the bar on customer feedback and testimonials in the inclusion criteria in this year's assessment." In total, twenty-three vendors were included in the report.
"We believe IGLOO's position in Gartner's new 'Magic Quadrant for Social Software in the Workplace' affirms the significant progress we've made this past year in customer acquisition and innovation," said Dan Latendre, CEO, IGLOO Software. "We've experienced record growth globally and our commitment to the cloud (and a 45 to 60 day upgrade cycle) has enabled us to rollout six major product releases."
"We consider IGLOO's placement in the Magic Quadrant consistent with the hands-on product evaluation that we just completed for one of our clients," said Cathy Ingham, Technology Manager, LiquidHub. "We researched an initial pool of over 100 social software vendors based on industry analyst reports, including Gartner's Magic Quadrant, built test sites and conducted an in-depth evaluation versus the client's business requirements. After surviving our rigorous due diligence process, that even some legacy vendors could not withstand, IGLOO stood well above the pack with a product that is very stable, extremely well designed, and very easy to use and administer."
