We’re looking for an experienced and energetic Talent Specialist who is excited about the opportunity to lead Igloo’s talent acquisition strategy. Working as a critical part of the Human Resources team, the Talent Specialist will work creatively to attract talent through a variety of sourcing activities, supporting hiring managers through the recruitment stages, and play a critical role in implementing and managing retention programs. Key responsibilities

  • Develop an innovative recruitment strategy to leverage social media, networking events, job boards and other sourcing opportunities to identify and acquire top talent.
  • Partner with hiring managers to maintain interviewing best practices and an outstanding candidate experience.
  • Manage the recruitment workflow including the preparation of job postings, sourcing & screening, scheduling, interviewing, preparing and presenting offers and status reports.
  • Support with the development of effective strategies for onboarding new hires.
  • Partnering with senior leaders, support the enhancement and management of Igloo’s MBO leadership program.
  • Monitor Igloo’s staffing plan in order to stay within budget and ahead of business requirements, by sourcing and filling positions proactively.
  • Actively build relationships with educational institutions, professional organizations, and community outreach platforms as a means of sourcing candidates.
  • Manage relationships with candidates and external staffing partners to represent Igloo in a positive manner.
  • Identify and attend conferences, tradeshows, job fairs, and other career and business events that offer talent opportunities.
  • Support special projects as assigned by Human Resources.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional recruitment experience, preferably with a technology company.
  • Post-secondary degree of diploma in Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences or related discipline.
  • Knowledge and experience of direct sourcing using LinkedIn, Twitter and other social networking tools, with a proven track record leveraging social media to attract talent.
  • Talent Mapping/Pipeline building experience
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Superb organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with considered an asset.
