Last week, we announced that we’ll be hosting our first annual Digital Workplace conference, ICE ’17, from Sept 18-20 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. Here’s the blog post if you missed it. If you still have questions, then read on!
As you can imagine, organizing a conference like this is truly a cross functional effort involving multiple teams. But I managed to catch up with one of the executives leading charge for this event – Igloo’s VP of Marketing, Mick Hicks. I had a few questions about ICE’17 that he addressed for me. Below is the discussion that I had with Mike:
DW: What’s this ICE’17 Conference that I’ve been hearing about?
MH: ICE’17 is a three-day event exclusively focused on digital transformation and the new digital workplace. At ICE’17, attendees can expect to learn about the future of work, discuss digital workplace strategies, and share best practices for improving employee engagement, productivity and cultural alignment.
DW: So is this an Igloo product conference?
MH: No it’s so much more than that. We’ll have 3 session tracks at ICE’17 that cover digital workplace strategies, real-life digital workplace examples, and Igloo’s digital workplace solutions. And if you notice, ICE’17 is actually brought to you by Igloo. We’re not framing this up as an Igloo product conference and we’re taking special care to ensure that we are providing plenty of opportunities for attendees to connect, share, and learn from one and other. Anyone who knows our CEO, Dan Latendre, or myself, knows that we are all about actionable takeaways. ICE will not let you down when it comes to learnings and digital workplace best practices that you will be able to take back to your own organizations and start implementing.
DW: If I’m not an Igloo customer should I attend ICE’17?
MH: Absolutely! At ICE’17 you’ll learn about digital workplace strategies and solutions that can be applied to any organization interested in creating a new modern digital workplace. So while Igloo customers will definitely benefit from this event, we’ll also have industry analysts, digital workplace influencers, partners, and those organizations who are looking for deeper insights into digital workplace solutions. It’s truly shaping up to be a well-balanced conference with content presented from many different perspectives.
DW: How do I know if ICE’17 is for me?
MH: If you work in corporate communications, HR, IT, internal communications, knowledge management, digital transformation or any other role that focuses on people, engagement, productivity and innovation this is the conference for you. Don’t second guess yourself, just come.
DW: $395 is a pretty competitive rate? Is that the rate for everyone?
MH: Yes, this is the rate for everyone. But USD$395 is the early bird rate which ends June 30, 2017. After that the price goes up to USD$595. And don’t be fooled by the conference rate. We are certainly not scrimping on providing a great conference experience at such a low price. The content, the food, the speakers, the entertainment, and the venue will leave you wondering how we were able to pull off this kind of event and experience for that registration price.
DW: Where and when is ICE’17 taking place again?
MH: ICE’17 is taking place Sept 18-20, 2017 right in the heart of Nashville, TN at the Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown.
DW: What’s the one thing you want our readers to take away from my chat with you.
MH: If you’re reading this blog, then you’re interested in either improving culture and engagement, knowledge management, collaboration, or communications at your organization. All these challenges are addressed by digital workplace solutions, and ICE’17 will have all the latest, relevant information you need to make informed decisions back at your organization.
DW: Thanks for your time Mike:
MH: It was my pleasure. See you at ICE ’17. You can register here: www.icebyigloo.com
