For the second consecutive time, Igloo was named a Major Player in the IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Enterprise Social Networks.
We are in the IDC MarketScape report for a second time, in the "Major Players" category. No pressure, you know? So what if some players out there have support teams as big as our whole company? This is about doing it right, and we pride ourselves on that. That obviously got noticed, since we ranked number 1 in customer experience in this report. Again.
Getting that prize twice in a row speaks to how we treat our clients, sure, but it's also about putting out a great product. We keep challenging our own ideas, our goal is to be constantly evolving, and to make our platform something we actually love to use. We want our changes to be meaningful, to change the way you work, to make your collaboration easier.
Hey there, SharePoint
Our product capabilities are so strong that we're neck and neck with SharePoint, an industry behemoth. It's a true testament to the constant diversification of our product. We are constantly iterating new versions, so we're always on our toes. People are fearful of change, especially after they've spent so much time and money into customizing their previous software of choice. Our goal is to provide more right out of the box, and keep over delivering with every update.
We are fully mobile ready, you can brand Igloo, and you can build your own widgets. That's available right away, as soon as you implement. You won't need to hire an extra developer, or a fancy (expensive) consultant, you know the type. We don't mean to toot our own horn, but it's hard not to, when we're this easy to use.
IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Enterprise Social Networks 2014 Vendor Assessment, doc #252332, November 2014
No longer sitting at the kid's table
This is a market where we go head-to-head against huge enterprise software companies with extremely large product offerings. Amongst companies that are purely focused on collaboration, we ranked 2nd. These rankings are heavily influenced by size, and we are well aware that we have some growing up to do. Usually, we get called niche players, and really, we're okay with that. So pardon the cliché, but believe us when we say we are truly honored to be mentioned in the same breath as some of these companies.
We've always been modest about our achievements. But these awards and mentions are starting to pile up. So next year, don't be surprised when you see us at the top, because that's where we're headed.
About IDC MarketScape: The IDC MarketScape vendor analysis model is designed to provide an overview of the competitive fitness of ICT (information and communications technology) suppliers in a given market. The research methodology utilizes a rigorous scoring methodology based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria that results in a single graphical illustration of each vendor's position within a given market. IDC MarketScape provides a clear framework in which the product and service offerings, capabilities and strategies, and current and future market success factors of IT and telecommunications vendors can be meaningfully compared. The framework also provides technology buyers with a 360-degree assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of current and prospective vendors.
