Igloo is proud to sponsor the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) World Conference for the fourth year in a row.
The IABC World Conference is attended by more than 1,200 professionals who travel from near and far to learn about the latest trends, network with peers, and hear from experts in communications.
We’ve always seen this event as more than just a sponsorship. For us, it’s an opportunity to meet people who are faced with the very business challenge Igloo helps to solve: corporate communications. It’s a challenge facing many growing companies with an increasingly distributed and mobile workforce – and no formal way to distribute information. A strong platform is more important than ever, and we want to be at the forefront of this discussion so we can continue to align our vision with the needs of this key audience.
We’re bringing some friends along
In the past, we’ve attended the conference in an effort to establish Igloo as a trusted name in communications technology. This year, we’ve upped the ante a bit. We’re putting a stronger focus on celebrating our partners in communication – our customers – and recognizing the great work they’re doing to build and nurture their communities at work. We’re excited to welcome our “champions” and fellow communicators from Home Instead, Ten-X, and Hagerty Insurance, to name a few.
“Our goal is to highlight the importance of communications and the people who lead the way. This is a pure investment in our customers and their continued success in creating change at their companies,” says Bob Mathers, Vice President of Customer Success at Igloo.
Igloo guests will get exclusive access to content and insights to enhance their conference experience – including insight into our new initiatives, advice from Igloo experts, and a forum to learn best practices from other Igloo customers. One of our guests will get the chance to share her experience with an even bigger audience. Amanda Rose from popular fitness franchise, Beachbody, will lead a speaking session called, “Let’s Go the Beach: Creating an Online Destination for Culture and Communication.” She will share her experience launching their corporate intranet, The Beach – from choosing a solution to sustaining engagement after launch.
The theme of this year’s conference is, “RISE: Innovating Global Communication,” and it represents IABC’s mission to elevate the career of communication practitioners, put the spotlight on the global rise of business communication, and showcase the stunning transformation made by New Orleans, the conference city.
It aligns nicely with our purpose for attending this year’s event: to celebrate champions. We believe communicators are in a unique position to create connections, culture, and change in their organizations, and we want to recognize them for the work they do – day in and day out. Anyone who is personally invested in bringing a company closer together is alright with us. That’s why we want to make sure they have the right technology platform to make it happen. A modern intranet like Igloo enables meaningful conversations from the top down, bottom up, and everywhere in between. And a healthy and active discourse can help steer an organization toward a more social and collaborative enterprise that succeeds from the inside out.
Will you be at the conference?
We’re always looking to make new friends. We’d love to meet up with you to chat about work, communications, life, or whatever else is on your mind. The same goes if you’ll be joining us from afar – you can follow us on Twitter or leave a comment here.
