It’s the final day of ICE’18 here in San Antonio, but by the look of the early morning crowd at the breakfast area, most attendees were ready and rarin’ to go. ICE’18 has been such a huge success! In case you missed some or all of the activities so far, this post will fill you in on what you missed and share insights into what’s still to come today.
Microsoft Azure Expansion…
After a restful sleep and a great breakfast on Wednesday morning, Dan Latendre and the Product Team led by Stephen Rahal, shared some exciting product updates. The first announcement related to our continued work with Microsoft, where Igloo announced that it will soon be offering its customers the option to have their Igloo Digital Workplace solutions hosted on Microsoft Azure regions in Canada and Europe, building upon our current Canadian data center, and Azure hosting options in the US.
…Deeper Integration with Office365
Igloo also announced its enhanced business intelligence and improved Microsoft Office 365 integrations built into the Igloo platform, including Microsoft OneNote, Microsoft Outlook Calendar, and Microsoft SharePoint.
Also on Wednesday, Igloo announced the launch of Igloo Marketplace. With Igloo Marketplace, the full catalogue of Igloo developed offerings and select beta widgets are now available, enabling customers to search and discover enhancements, integrations, widgets, solutions and themes to enhance their Igloo-powered digital workplace.
Igloo and Lucidworks Partner to Redefine Search & Information Discovery
Stephen Rahal was then joined on the stage by Grant Ingersoll who is the Founder & Chief Technology Officer at Lucidworks. Together, the two shared details about a new partnership with California-based Lucidworks that will see Igloo’s Digital Workplace platform leverage the latest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing technology to improve search speed and relevancy.
Igloo Launches Networked Enterprise Edition of Its Digital Workplace
Just when we thought the announcements had wrapped up for the day, Dan Latendre took to the stage again and announced the general availability of the Networked Enterprise Edition of its award-winning Digital Workplace platform. With its proprietary hub and spoke architecture, Igloo’s Networked Enterprise Edition provides complex and dispersed organizations with a scalable, flexible, and secure digital workplace solution for connecting business units, vendors, suppliers, partners, and customers across the globe.
Three major announcements were made before 10:15am on Wednesday but the ICE’18 conference powered on for the rest of the day with keynotes by best selling author and speaker Jill Christensen, SiriusDecision’s Julie Ogilvie, followed by a digital transformation executive panel and a series of breakout and customer spotlight sessions.
To close out Wednesday, ICE attendees were treated to a true Texan experience at Knibbe Ranch. While the food, drinks, live music, and general ranch experience were exceptional, attendees had a few pleasant surprises like line dance lessons, armadillo races, and selfies with live Texas Longhorns! Thursday morning began bright and early with another exercise session for those early risers, breakfast (with lots of coffee), and another opportunity for attendees to visit the Igloo Lounge, and check out some of the great works of our partners in the Sponsor Showcase. Keynote addresses were also given by Alan Lepofsky of Constellation Research, and by the CTO of One Commercial Partner at Microsoft Canada, Stephen Tanaka, followed by more breakout sessions.
Attendees are just finishing up their lunch here on Thursday, the last day of ICE’18, but our event venue here at the JW Marriott is still teeming with anticipation on who will be this year’s Igloo Digital Transformation Award winners. But before the award ceremony, attendees will hear a number of exciting customer spotlight sessions including another keynote by Rich Copp of Partners HealthCare.
At ICE’18, the conference center at the JW Marriott was transformed into a digital workplace center of expertise and thought leadership, and it will be one that will be remembered for year’s to come. Apart from the upcoming announcement, unveiling this year’s digital transformation award winners, only one question remains…
