Trudeau Foundation Community

The Trudeau Foundation's community is an international network of academics working and researching on issues of human rights and social justice, responsible citizenship, Canada and the world, and humans in their natural environment. With a large network of active scholars, IGLOO brings together members of the Trudeau Foundation in an interactive community that encourages communication and innovation through an online knowledge exchange.

The Challenge

Before using a network, the Trudeau Foundation's web presence lacked a strong interactive component and contained a complex administration panel. In addition, the Foundation needed a secure and cost-effective way to balance both their private and public online needs. Lacking the technical staff required to achieve this, website updates were regularly delayed as a result of frequently having to go through an intermediary. Also, while having the previous private community technically separate from their public website, time was wasted duplicating updates such as announcements, conference information and new research documents in both the private and public areas.
