Dan Latendre, CEODan has been a technology innovator for the past 20 years working with such pioneering companies as MKS, Delrina and Open Text Corporation. He has always taken an entrepreneurial and visionary approach to business and has played significant roles in the development and marketing of numerous leading edge internet-based technologies and applications. The web is his passion. In 1993, Dan and his team at MKS developed one of the first wireless internet access packages called Internet Anywhere in partnership with Research in Motion (RIM). In 1995, he negotiated the sale of the Internet Anywhere division to Open Text Corporation. While at Open Text, he spearheaded the release of the first commercial search engine for the web which powered Yahoo! in the early years; launched the first web-based intranet application called LivelinkĀ®; and in 1999 set up and managed operations for the Open Text SaaS division. After leaving Open Text in 2004, Dan accepted a position as CIO at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) - a not for profit research centre founded by Jim Balsillie. During his tenure, Mr. Latendre created the first free online research network for those working, studying and advising on global issues. Dan is an executive member of the Canadian International Council; sits on the advisory board of the Manufacturing Innovation Network and is a special advisor to the Dean of Health and Sciences at the University of Waterloo. | |
Gerard van der Burg, Community StrategistGerard has held management and executive positions for the past 25 years in the International Development Sector. His work with organizations such as the Dutch Development Organization, CARE International, and Global Development Group has taken him to live and work in many countries in The Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. For the past 10 years, he provided leadership to a number of organizations for the design and implementation of complex Results-Based Management (RBM), Information Communications Technology (ICT), and Knowledge Management (KM) systems. Gerard was the recipient of a Laureate Award for Innovation in Computer Technology from the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC, USA for a KM system he implemented. Gerard joined IGLOO in 2007. | |
David Shak, VP Platform DevelopmentDavid heads up our technical platform teams. A technology and start-up veteran, David brings over 12 years technical and management experience in the software development field. Before joining the company, he was one of the early employees at Delano Technology Corporation, a leading provider of e-business solutions, and also worked for Sxip Identity Corp. a leader in internet-scale identity and access management. David honed his technical and management skills from some of the best in their field at companies such as Corel, creating XML authoring tools; at Netscape developing a next generation email server product; and at Symantec/Delrina engineering an electronic forms workflow engine. | |
Khalid Merhi, VP Application DevelopmentHaving spent the better part of the last 10 years building web applications, Khalid has developed an appreciation for that "last mile" to the end user: the User Interface and the User Experience. By trade, Khalid breathes and drinks code but by passion he sketches UI concepts and contemplates what drives teams to succeed. Khalid currently leads the application development team at IGLOO Software, focusing on user-friendly interactive application development. He also holds a piece of paper claiming he's a computer and communication engineer. | |
Lillian Bass, VP Finance & OperationsAs VP Finance & Operations, Lillian is responsible for IGLOO's "back office," enabling the rest of the team to focus on customers and technology. A chartered accountant, Lillian began her career with KPMG, then drove finance at ATS Automation Tooling Systems during their peak growth and acquisition period. Most recently, Lillian was CFO for Brock Solutions, a private automation engineering firm located in Canada's Technology Triangle. | |

Daniel Kube, VP SalesDaniel has nearly two decades of success and experience in alliances, business development, sales, and marketing for several leading organizations including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Performancesoft, actuate, and IONA Technologies (Now Progress Software). Most recently he was Global Vice President of Marketing and Alliances for the Performance Management division where he was also responsible for successfully creating and launching Actuate Onperformance (SaaS) offering. Daniel has an B.A in sociology and is currently doing his executive MBA at Kellogg Schulich. He is also director of APM holdings and APM components in North America. |
