Application Updates:

• Broadcasts - announcements were transformed to a blog application, giving communities more freedom in broadcasting community and individual messaging
• All core applications (Workarea, Calendar, Forums, Member Directory and Gallery) received style and functionality upgrades that brought each of them more into the web 2.0 methodology

Web Addresses:

• Domains have been sub-domained to give customers a more varied choice for their community web address

Community Browsing

• Contextual Breadcrumbs - were added to the event calendar to aid users in browsing and searching for events by year, month, and date
• Navigation - root level navigational items now have action menus contextually so that users can manage the object without having to go to the Control Panel
• Search - improved community search by providing more reliable community search indices and a more Google-like familiar search result format

Pulse:

• Pulse - provide members with a summary of member activity
  
• Trailer - all pages now track the number of page views and provide users with easy access to bookmarking, emailing, sharing, and subscribing functionality

  Content Management:

• Commenting - ability for members to comment on objects (i.e. documents and images)
• Flash Paper - ability to view document content within document details page (i.e. PowerPoint)
• Flash Video Player - ability to view videos in a media player
• Flash Audio Player - ability to listen to audio files in audio player
• Multiple file upload and delete functionality has been added to aid users in managing large amounts of files
• Slideshow - an album feature that allows users to view album images in a slideshow format

Membership Management:

• Groups - application based roles have been introduced so that Administrators can grant access and control to members per application without giving them access to the entire social network
  
• Custom Invites - ability to add a customized message to a member invitation
• Recent Contributions - easily view the recent contributions by each member contextually (from a community application) or aggregated (from the member directory) 

IGLOO Public

• myIGLOO facelift - bringing myIGLOO one step close to the 2.0 generation   

Administration

• SAAS - added functionality like the ability to delete users or communities has helped transform SAAS into a true Network Administration tool 

Network Upgrades

• Single Sign-on - sign in to any network domain and the user will be signed on to any community on the network, regardless of the domain
• Security upgrades including user session timeouts which prevent unauthorized users from obtaining user data
