New Feature Details

1. MyDashboard (formerly myIGLOO)

To bring the profile information into a local CSN or community context, we've updated "myIGLOO" to "My Dashboard". This change will keep your profile experience coherent and ensure that your content (subscriptions, contacts, etc.) is both persistent and relevant.

Key Components

My Dashboard Homepage:
Aggregates feeds based on your community and contacts' contributions such as document uploads/downloads, blog posts, forum contributions and news articles.

Contacts:
Use your Contacts to connect with other members of your IGLOO corporate social network or community. Keep up to date on your connections and individual contact status messages.

Subscriptions:
My Dashboard presents a list of network and community specific subscriptions for you to view and manage. You can also filter subscriptions by type (blog, folders, for example). View network subscriptions which displays a list of other community subscriptions in your network. Bookmarks also display in My Dashboard.

Account:
Use this section to edit personal information including name, photo and biography. Update your professional details and experience, including your title, work contact information and current employer. Update what to share on your public profile here and manage your user name and password.

User Status Message:
The User Status Message gives you a way to display a personal status message (as you might on MSN or Twitter). Use the Status feature to let your colleagues know when you're on the road, in a meeting, at another office location or busy. Keep your contacts, colleagues and peers up to date with your current activities and to stay current with your colleagues' status to work together more efficiently.

Network:
If you belong to more than one network or community powered by the IGLOO CSN suite, the Network section provides "quick links" to these other networks, communities, sites, etc.

Briefcase (formerly myIGLOO/library):
This functionality supports a personal storage of documents with the ability to add and delete files in a secure space that you can access from anywhere.

Inbox:
A central spot for you to view all your pending ‘connection' invites. Manage your invitations by accepting or ignoring the invite.

2. Rating

Our new 5 star rating system allows you to rate items in your corporate social network or community. Rate key documents, reports, logo concepts and other items that multiple people make use of and all need to provide input on.

Rating provides the current rating status, which is calculated by the submission averages, along with the number of votes.

Each star rating means: Poor ►Fair ►Good ►Excellent ►Outstanding

3. Audio Player

You can now listen to MP3 files in the following ways:

1.  Standalone MP3 Player: Any area that contains mp3 files will display a "musical note" icon Clicking on this icon will access a standalone (pop-up) mp3 player that aggregates all the mp3 files contained in that area.

2.  Embedded: Each mp3 file has a matching "embed" code that can be copied and pasted into any standard editable page's content area. The embed code is stored on the item's landing page. The code embeds a media player on the page.

3.  Inline: Each MP3 file's landing page displays an 'inline' media player from which a user can listen to the audio file

4. Inline Renames

Inline renames allow you to rename items contextually, without reloading the entire page which saves you time and bandwidth.
