Kitchener, Ontario's IGLOO Inc. will hire at least 10 new employees this year after raising $5 million in financing from RBC Venture Partners and the Ontario Emerging Technologies Fund. Founded in 2008, the company currently has 45 employees. IGLOO makes "social business software," which is used by companies to facilitate collaboration between employees and improve productivity. The company caters to small and medium-sized businesses, and departments within large companies. Its clients include Cisco and Deloitte. The products are cloud-based and companies are charged according to how many employees they have using the software during any given month.
