O3 Collaboration, a platform developed for the research and education community in Ontario, continues to grow. Since September, seven new research groups have adopted O3 Collaboration to connect members across institutions and around the world.
Exclusive to Ontario researchers, educators and students at universities, colleges, schools and ORION institutions, O3 Collaboration provides members with a virtual space to share knowledge, connect with peers and collaborate privately with a powerful suite of Web 2.0 tools and resources.
Since September seven new research groups have adopted O3 Collaboration to connect members across institutions and around the world, including CERIS; Intersections - New Approaches to Science and Technology in 20th C. China and India; The Grief and Loss Project; Envisioning Global LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) Human Rights; Work in a Warming World; and Global Suburbanisms.
But more than any institution in Ontario, York University and its faculty and staff continue to lead the way in terms of adoption and engagement. Most of the more than 20 York-based research groups using O3 fall in the disciplines of social sciences, mental health and knowledge mobilization, which means participants are not only based at York and other universities around the world, but also with local community groups and municipal agencies, such as the United Way. http://www.orion.on.ca/newsletter/nov10/yorku.html
