.EPS files (and .AI files)An .eps file is a Vector Artwork file used for PRINT. Vector artwork (not rasterized) has the capability to be resized (using the proper software) without sacrificing quality. Use this file for: any kind of print material, such as large-scale printing - event banners/ booth graphics, outdoor signage, posters, brochures, stationery and any print advertising.
.TIF filesA .tif file is a High Resolution file used for PRINT. This file type is rasterized, meaning the image is no longer editable because it has been "sandwiched" into a flat file just like a photograph. If it is enlarged or skewed it will appear distorted and out of focus. A .tif file should only be used at 100% or smaller, never larger. Use this file for: any small-scale print project such as brochures, letters, stationery, memos, advertising, etc.
