.EPS files (and .AI files)

An .eps file is a Vector Artwork file used for PRINT. Vector artwork (not rasterized) has the capability to be resized (using the proper software) without sacrificing quality.

Use this file for: any kind of print material, such as large-scale printing - event banners/ booth graphics, outdoor signage, posters, brochures, stationery and any print advertising.

Tiff_Icon.jpg

.TIF files

A .tif file is a High Resolution file used for PRINT. This file type is rasterized, meaning the image is no longer editable because it has been "sandwiched" into a flat file just like a photograph. If it is enlarged or skewed it will appear distorted and out of focus. A .tif file should only be used at 100% or smaller, never larger.

Use this file for: any small-scale print project such as brochures, letters, stationery, memos, advertising, etc.

.PNG files (and .JPG files)

A .png file is a Low Resolution file used for the WEB. This file type is rasterized, meaning the image is no longer editable because it has been "sandwiched" into a flat file just like a photograph. This file type should never be used for print projects. If printed, the image will appear out of focus or distorted. A .png and .jpg file should only be used at 100% or smaller, never larger.

Use this file for: any web page. The .png files provided have transparent backgrounds, therefore they can be used on web pages with dark colored backgrounds.
